About the Yokohama Geolandar A/T G015

If you are an adventurer who loves wandering off the beaten path frequently, then you will need a sturdy tire, which can comfortably handle those rugged conditions.

And the Yokohama Geolandar A/T G015 is a perfect match for your driving needs. It’s provisioned with some of the latest design features and technologies, to ensure it will deliver the ultimate experience.

Designed for both smooth highways and rugged terrains, this tire is built to deliver unmatched off-road performance, excellent traction in light snow as well as high levels of ride comfort on the highway.

Apart from being versatile, Yokohama claims the Geolandar A/T G015 is its toughest all-terrain tire.

Released to replace the AT-S, the Geolandar A/T G015 has already established itself as one of the most popular all-terrain tires on the market.

Design Features and Technologies

Yokohama is renowned for equipping its all-terrain tires with advanced technologies, to ensure they provide superior performance in different conditions and terrains, a comfortable ride, as well as longevity.

And the Geolandar A/T G015 is no exception. It comes with some of the latest Yokohama tire technologies, making it a great tire for street driving, off-road adventures, as well as winter and snow driving. Some of its technologies include:

Enduro Tread Compound

Enduro is a proprietary Yokohama tire technology, featuring a combination of exclusive high-tech polymers and orange oil.

This combination helps to deliver enhanced traction, whether you are driving on the highway or you are off-roading with your truck or SUV.

Apart from the enhanced traction, the Enduro tread compound also promotes tire sturdiness and durability, resulting in longer tread life.

Triple 3D Sipes

Yokohama has also provisioned this tire with tripe 3D sipes. Commonly found in premium all-season and all-terrain tires, these sipes change shape as the tear wears, thus helping it to maintain biting edges.

Therefore, the Geolandar A/T G015 will not lose its traction and grip, even as its tread wears, which is usually the case with other tires.

Also, two of the sipes will momentarily lock together when the tire is pressed against the surface, thus stiffening the tire block.

And this enables the tire to maintain its form, for enhanced dry road stability, handling and response.

Wide Circumferential Grooves

If you inspect this tire closely, you will notice it comes with wide circumferential grooves. These grooves help to evacuate water away from the tire's surface.

And this translates to increased hydroplaning resistance, thus creating additional biting edges for mud and snow traction.

Multi-Pitch Tread Variation

The Geolandar A/T G015 features multi-pitch tread variation, which helps to minimize road noise.

And with the reduced road noise, you will enjoy a quiet, smooth, comfortable and enjoyable ride.

So, if riding comfort is something you prioritize, then the Geolandar A/T G015 will not disappoint you.

Sidewall Protectors

Yokohama has further fitted this tire with sidewall protectors, which help the tire to withstand abrasions while providing added resistance to punctures, especially during off-roading.

With such a great combination of tried and tested design features and technologies, you can rest assured that the Geolandar A/T G015 will deliver outstanding all-season performance, without sacrificing ride comfort and durability.

On-road Performance

The Geolandar A/T G015 delivers a pleasant driving experience on the highway. As noted above, it has been outfitted with triple 3D sipes, which provide assured grip and traction on dry roads while delivering relentless traction in slippery conditions.

So, if you mostly drive on wet or smooth highways, then the Geolandar A/T G015 will hold up well.

Off-road Performance

The Yokohama Geolandar A/T G015 is a capable performer when it comes to off-roading.

As much as it’s not built for serious off-roading, it performs surprisingly well in light to moderate off-road conditions.

Whether you encounter mud, rocks, loose dirt, sand, or slick-rock sandstone, this Yokohama all-terrain tire will keep your vehicle moving forward.

However, it’s important to point out that the Geolandar A/T G015 is not a dedicated off-road tire.

Therefore, it tends to struggle when it encounters large rocks or thick, deep mud. In such terrains and conditions, you will need a dedicated off-road tire or an aggressive mud tire, which is specifically engineered for such extreme environments.

Snow Performance

The Geolandar A/T G015 comes with the 3-peak, mountain snowflake emblem, which indicates that it meets all the performance requirements in snow testing.

And this means that it can endure severe snow conditions. Hence, if you live in one of the areas that experience long winters, then the Geolandar A/T G015 will be more than adequate.

Also, it handles snowy and icy conditions better than most of the other comparable all-terrain tires.

However, you should keep in mind that its traction can’t match that of a dedicated snow or winter tire.

Simply put, you shouldn’t consider it as a replacement in situations that need a dedicated winter or snow tire.

Ride Quality

The Geolandar A/T G015 is equally outstanding when it comes to ride quality. It delivers a comfortable, quiet and refined ride, especially during highway driving.

However, the comfort level is directly proportional to your vehicle’s speed. For instance, if you are moving at high speeds, the tires may get bumpier, thus making the ride uncomfortable.

But if you are cruising at slow to medium speeds, then the tire’s comfort levels are higher than most of the other all-terrain tires in its class.

Warranties and Guarantees

Yokohama stands behind its tires with strong warranties and guarantees. And the Geolandar A/T G015 is no exception. It comes with all the main warranties and guarantees that are offered with most Yokohama tires. They include:

Standard Limited Warranty

Yokohama offers to replace your Geolandar A/T G015 tire, if it becomes unserviceable, due to materials or workmanship defect.

Under this warranty, your Geolandar A/T G015 tire will be covered within the first 2/32nd of an inch of the original usable tread depth or for 60 months, whichever comes first.

The replacement will also include free mounting and balancing. However, the customer will have to take care of the other related service charges like tire alignment and rotation, as well as applicable taxes.

If the manufacturing or workmanship defect occurs outside the specified free replacement period, then the replacement will be done on a prorated basis.

The prorated cost is obtained by multiplying the percentage of the tire’s usable tread, with the dealer’s current selling price.

Possible Exclusions

However, Yokohama may opt not to replace your tire even if it’s damaged within the first 2/32nd of an inch of tread depth or 5 years.

And this can be occasioned by several factors. For instance, Yokohama may not replace your Geolandar A/T G015 tire if it becomes unserviceable due to damage caused by:

  • Improper mounting and dismounting
  • Improper inflation
  • Improper repairs
  • Mechanical issues in the vehicle
  • Improper tire selection
  • Improper application
  • Accident, vandalism, fire, corrosion or acts of nature

Also, tires that have been altered in any way, tires on vehicles operating outside the U.S, or tires used for racing will not be covered.

Limited Mileage Warranty

Apart from the standard limited warranty, the Geolandar A/T G015 also comes with a 60-month limited mileage warranty or treadwear warranty.

If your Geolandar A/T G015 tire wears down to its last 2/32nd of an inch before it delivers 50,000 miles, then you are eligible for a replacement.

But unlike the previous warranty where you will get a free replacement, the replacement under this warranty comes in the form of a credit, which will be applied when you purchase a new set of tires.

The credit you will get will depend on the remaining usable tread on the tire, multiplied by the dealer’s current selling price.

For instance, if the percentage of remaining usable tread on the tire is 30% and the dealer is currently selling the Geolandar A/T G015 at $200, then your credit will be $60.

Therefore, when you go to buy a new set of Geolandar A/T G015 tires, you will pay $140 per tire and Yokohama will cover the remaining $60.

On the other hand, if the remaining tread depth on the tire was 50%, then your credit will be $100, meaning you will only pay $100 to get a new Geolandar A/T G015 tire.

In case your vehicle has different front and rear wheel sizes, the mileage warranty for your rear tires will be half of the offered coverage. And in this case, it will be 25,000 miles.

Yokohama Performance Promise

The Geolandar A/T G015 also comes with Yokohama’s customer satisfaction guarantee, otherwise known as Yokohama Performance Promise.

Under this arrangement, Yokohama allows you to return your Geolandar A/T G015 tires within 30 days if you are not satisfied with their performance.

And upon returning the tires, you will get a full refund, as long as you produce your original sales invoice.

Tires that have been transferred from the vehicle they were originally installed on, tires used in motorsport activities, tires bearing road hazard injuries or tires with more than 1/32 inch of tread wear will not be accepted.

Geolandar A/T G015 Available Sizes and Vehicle Compatibility

The Geolandar A/T G015 is available in numerous sizes, ranging from 15 inches to 22 inches. And as for compatibility, it can fit the following vehicles:

Yokohama Geolandar A/T G015 Price
